The first “Hong Kong Pavilion” fundedby the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund ofthe Trade and Industry Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Administrative Region and organizedby the Hong Kong Software Industry Association at the CeBIT ASEAN 2019 presentsmore than 20 quality products, solutions and services fromHong Kong to showcase the creativity and accomplishments of Hong Kong’sinformation & communication technology industry to the world, demonstrate Hong Kong’s competitive edges in innovative technologies, and facilitateexchanges between Hong Kong’s IT professionals and entrepreneurs andtheir counterparts around the world.
The organizers of “Hong Kong Pavilion” are honoured to have had Mr Michael Ng, Deputy Director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (Bangkok),the Government of the HKSAR; and Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACTExhibition and Convention Centre, as the officiating guests. They joined Mr KennyChien, Chairman of Hong Kong Software Industry Associationin the Official Opening Ceremony of the “Hong Kong Pavilion”.
Mr. Michael Ng has expressed that I&T has been a top policyagenda of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and hebelieves Hong Kong will be developed into an international I&T hub which isopen to talents around the world in the near future.
For “The promotion of Hong Kong’s outstanding software, informationand communication technology (ICT) industries in ‘One Belt One Road’” Project, “Hong Kong Pavilion” isstaged at four major international technology exhibitions, of which the one atthe CeBIT ASEANis the first stop in a series of events. “HongKong Pavilion” has received overwhelming response from worldwide visitors whoare glad to see exhibits of Hong Kong’s ICT industry at first hand and areimpressed by the innovations and competitive edges of HongKong in software andinformation and communication technologies.
The “Hong Kong Pavilion” aims to promote Hong Kong as “Asia’s ICT Hubof excellentICT products and services”. The organizer of “Hong Kong Pavilion” does not only bring Hong Kong’soutstanding exhibits to Bangkok, but a pavilion full of innovative ideas. Todemonstrate the uniqueness and capability of Hong Kong, the Pavilion featuresoutstanding modern and interactive designs. 20 Hong Kong entrepreneursand startups set up individual exhibition booths in the “Hong Kong Pavilion” toshowcase their latest products and services. The Pavilion acts as a business platformfor Hong Kong’s ICT industry to connect with theiroverseas clients aswell as industry buyers and professionals from all over the world.
