The promotion of Hong Kong outstanding information and communication technology (ICT) industries in the ASEAN markets

Introduction

Hong Kong Software Industry Association will organize a 18-month project “The promotion of Hong Kong outstanding information and communication technology (ICT) industries in the ASEAN markets”, which is funded by The Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund. In order to promote Hong Kong excellent software and information technology industry, “Hong Kong Pavilion” as well as conference will be set up in different high tech expo of four Asean countries, including Singapore, Thailand(Bangkok), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) and Indonesia(Jakarta).

Purpose

" The promotion of Hong Kong outstanding information and communication technology (ICT) industries in the ASEAN markets" is organized by the Hong Kong Software Industry Association and funded by the “Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund”, to promote Hong Kong's technology innovation business in the ASEAN market with "Hong Kong Pavilion", through the plan to promote Hong Kong's technology innovation products and services (Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Software as a Service ) to the ASEAN market, let the city understand and experience Hong Kong's technology innovation projects, share technological developments, and promote Hong Kong Excellent software and information technology industry.
 

Plan content

  • Set up a "Hong Kong Pavilion" in the ASEAN exhibition to display and promote excellent products/products of technology products (big data, application of human intelligence, software as a service SaaS);
  • An online seminar will be held to introduce and discuss the local situation, marketing environment and policies of the upcoming ASEAN exhibition, and promote the "Hong Kong Pavilion" of the ASEAN exhibition;
  • Sponsor trade exchange activities, allowing participating Hong Kong technology companies to communicate with other overseas companies participating in the conference, and get acquainted with potential investors, partners or partners;
  • Invite Hong Kong's technology industry to give a speech on the stage of AsiaTechX SG 2023 in Singapore to promote Hong Kong's technology and share technology development;

Bangkok, Thailand  "DigiTech ASEAN Thailand 2023" --- Hong Kong Pavilion (November 2023)

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia "The 23rd Malaysia Technology Expo" --- Hong Kong Pavilion (February 2024)

Indonesia "The 7th Indonesia No.1 International Smart City Expo & Forum" --- Hong Kong Pavilion (July 2024) (TBC)

Organizer

The Hong Kong Software Industry Association Limited (HKSIA) is the organiser of Hong Kong Pavilion. It is a Hong Kong registered non-profit making organisation founded by a group of IT professionals and IT corporations in Hong Kong dedicated to the China market. Its main purpose is to identify and develop business opportunities for Hong Kong software companies through cooperation with the mainland or overseas counterparts. The consensus driving the collaboration of all in forming the association is the conviction that the Hong Kong software industry can better manifest itself and benefit by integrating with the vast market and resources of the mainland.

1. Promoting software industry development and exploring business opportunities in the mainland and overseas.
2. Coordinating with foreign software industry for better resources allocation, benefits sharing and mutual added value.
3. Strengthening co-operation and enhancing communications between Hong Kong and mainland software industries.
4. Achieving mutual benefits of business growth for Hong Kong and mainland software companies through international exposures, exchange of project management skills and technical talents.
